DfE launches estate management resource for schools

The DfE has launched a new toolkit to help schools have ‘the right skills, processes and policies in place’ when it comes to estate management

The policies, processes and documents that schools, academies and multi-academy trusts should consider when managing their estates are multi-fold; to help schools make the most of their resources – namely their estate – the government has released guidance promoting best practice.

Published in late April, the guidance considers the variety of skills, processes and policies needed to help you run your organisation’s estates and seeks to help you to:

  • assess your current arrangements
  • identify where improvements can be made.
