The Norfolk festival of nature at Gresham’s School, a celebration of the county’s unique countryside, will return to Holt on 16 – 18 June 2017 with a fantastic new family friendly line-up.
The opening event on Friday 16 June welcomes well-known television presenters and wildlife lovers, Martin Hughes-Games (BBC’s Springwatch) and Iolo Williams (BBC Wales) for an amusing and informative show. The ‘Wildlife Road Trip’ will be packed with facts and fun for the whole family to enjoy.
The festival will continue throughout the weekend with a variety of free events including a nature trail for children around Gresham’s extensive grounds, alongside poetry and photography, ‘Wildlife in Nature’ themed, free to enter competitions. Winning entries will be showcased in the Auden Theatre foyer for the duration of the festival and prizes, supplied by Holt Book Shop, will be awarded to the winners of each category.
The festival will close with a fantastic Father’s Day Special. Handlers from Fens Falconry will give falconry demonstrations after which visitors will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the most beautiful birds of prey. Entry to this special event is free.

There are a variety of free events for everyone to enjoy and a chance to get creative with two exciting competitions.”
The annual celebration of Norfolk’s wonderful wildlife is supported by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust and Fens Falconry. All donations collected during the free events will be made to Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
